What are you saying about yourself? What are you declaring over your situation? What words are you speaking over your life?
What are Prophetic Affirmations?
Prophetic Affirmations are statements that you make that align with the words of God. Words that exemplify His character, His commands, promises and purposes). When we affirm ourselves in this way we are speaking absolute truth. We are making statements that agree with God. We are saying what God says about us.
Why Speak Prophetic Affirmations?
Throughout our lives we are subjected to the opinions of others, including parents, siblings, teachers, co-workers, significant others, acquaintances and even our self-evaluations. All of us, at some point, have heard or thought something negative about ourselves, something that may have caused us to feel inferior or mediocre. Therefore, we tend to settle for less and go through life never realizing our God-given potential.
In just one day, even a few minutes, we can lose our focus and weaken our attempt to live the life that God has called us to live. Our attitude can change instantly as a result of one negative word or event. Our emotions constantly fluctuate and the external and internal demands that we endure each day affect us mentally, emotionally and physically. Sometimes we get weary, discouraged within ourselves, or just disappointed with life, which are the reasons we must readjust our thoughts with words that that are helpful. It takes practice and determination to speak words that say how we want to be especially when we do not feel it, but it must be done so that we can change our internal dialogue, those embedded thoughts that make us react negatively, and pave the path for the life we want to achieve.
The writer of Hebrews 11:3 (Amplifed Bible) says, “the worlds were framed by the Word of God.” The word framed means [to set in order, to equip, complete what is lacking, make fully ready, to prepare]. God framed the worlds by His Word. He set it in order, made it ready according to His design, and equipped it for its intended purpose. Likewise, we can prepare ourselves for what God has already prepared for us by framing our world with His Word. We can say what He says about it. We can do what He has called us to do and we can become the people He created us to be. SAY IT AND BELIEVE IT!
