What are you saying to yourself about yourself? Words that inspire or words of defeat? Words that someone else has spoken...or words from the mouth of God?
Prophetic Affirmations are words that you speak that align with the Word of God. They are statements you make that are consistent with the scriptures. When you speak Prophetic Affirmations, you are voicing God’s promises. You are declaring His truth, and you are affirming your purpose in Him.
When you speak what God says, you are speaking life-giving words and when you speak what God says you are stating absolute truth.
Why Speak Prophetic Affirmations?
Throughout our lives we are subjected to the opinions of others, including parents, siblings, teachers, co-workers, significant others, acquaintances and even our self-evaluations. All of us, at some point, have heard or thought something negative about ourselves, something that may have caused us to feel inferior or mediocre. Therefore, we tend to settle for less and go through life never realizing our God-given potential.
In just one day, even a few minutes, we can lose our focus and weaken our attempt to live the life that God has called us to live. Our disposition and thought patterns can change instantly as a result of one negative word or event. Our emotions constantly fluctuate and the external and internal demands that we endure each day affect us mentally, emotionally and physically. Sometimes we get weary, discouraged within ourselves, or just disappointed with life, which are the reasons we must readjust our thoughts by speaking God’s Word and verbalizing His truth.
The writer of Hebrews 11:3 (AMP) says, “the worlds were framed by the Word of God.” The word framed means [to set in order, to equip, complete what is lacking, make fully ready, to prepare]. God framed the worlds by His Word. He set it in order, made it ready according to His design, and equipped it for its intended purpose. Likewise, we can prepare ourselves for what God has already prepared for us by framing our world with His Word. We can say what He says about it. We can do what He has called us to do and we can become the people He created us to be. SAY IT AND BELIEVE IT!
